اصل این داشبوردها به زبان انگلیسی توسط هامل حسین و همکاری تیم مجازی پشتیبانی میشود.

This project has been inspired by covid19dashboards project. The dashboards are in Farsi and have been filtered with a focus on Iran's COVID-19 situation.

Description

This project is using Jypyter notebooks as a base for the graphs. It is using fastpages behind the scenes that uses Github Actions to simplify the process of creating Jekyll blog posts on GitHub Pages. The data on this site is updated twice a day using the update-growth-nb.yaml Github action.

Local development

Setting up the frontend

1. Clone the repo

git clone git@github.com:solmazabbaspour/iran-covid19.git

2. run docker-compose up to start the project

3. Navigate to localhost:4000

Adding a new notebook

You can follow the same instructions to add a new notebook to the site.

You can use Colaboratory to create a new notebook with your own specific analysis.

Here is an example of the country-death-trajectories notebook on Colab.

Collaboration

Some areas that we would need help:

1. Frontend development and making the charts readable on smaller devices
2. State specific data for Iran
3. Adding more Jupyter notebooks.
   • A good place is to go through the original website and translate them to farsi
   • Add filters with a focus on Iran's cases
